Mouse Cake
Thanks to Virginia for this idea.
Mousse Cake     All right, it is supposed to be "Mousse", not Mouse. Samuel the Cat wanted to call it "Mouse Cake".

This is very easy to make. Basically, you make a chocolate layer cake with chocolate mousse between the layers and frost it with whipped topping. Virginia used real whipped cream, but I prefer packaged whipped topping mix because it stands up better especially in warm summer weather.

I made everything using "mixes" as shown next.
Mixes Used I used:
  • 1 pouch (about 42 g) of whipped dessert topping mix.
  • 1/2 package (about 260 g) of chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 package (about 43 g) of mousse mix.
Put the baked cake, prepared mousse and whipped topping in the refrigerator for two hours or so before assembling the cake. Make sure everything is COLD for best results.
